Since coming to the firm as an associate in 1999, Mr. Alfieri has handled a broad range of defense commercial and civil litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana involving transportation law, products liability, toxic tort, childhood vaccines and insurance coverage, among others.  Mr. Alfieri represents corporate and individual clients based in the US and abroad, including a national vehicle rental company in litigation arising throughout the state.      

Mr. Alfieri is specialized in the area of art law and counsels clients on a wide array of matters involving contracts, art commerce, artist moral rights, copyright, resale rights and restitution & repatriation.  Mr. Alfieri represents visual arts organizations and institutions, including museums, biennials and triennials, art fairs and non-profit cultural entities, individual artists, collectors, dealers, auction houses, private brokers and galleries in Louisiana and elsewhere in the US and abroad.   

Since 2000, Mr. Alfieri has served as General Counsel (Legale di Fiducia) to the Consulate General of Italy in Houston, TX, which provides services to more than 10,000 Italian nationals residing in the States of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.  He is a dual-citizen of the United States and Italy and is fluent in Italian.  His work with the Italian Consulate engages him in a wide array of matters involving Italian nationals and corporations operating in the United States.

Mr. Alfieri is a founding board member and the current President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Prospect New Orleans.  Prospect is a citywide contemporary art triennial and the longest-running exhibition of its kind in the United States.  PNO invites visual artists from around the world to create original projects in public spaces and culturally significant venues throughout New Orleans.  Each triennial exhibition is organized by a different professional curator and leading voice in the curatorial field.    

Mr. Alfieri is a Past President of the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the largest FBA chapter in the U.S., established in 1937.  He served from 2014-15. 

Mr. Alfieri is a Lifetime Fellow of the Fellows of the Foundation of the Federal Bar Association.  The Foundation of the Federal Bar Association established the Fellows program in 2002 to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and leadership within both the FBA and the legal community.  There are currently 269 Fellows of the Foundation.
