Sherman Boughton’s practice is devoted to litigation and real estate. His clients include a wide array of healthcare providers and group home operators, various product manufacturers, contractors, insurers, property owners, and lenders. In addition to handling litigation matters for these clients, he has handled commercial transactions including closings, mortgage enforceability opinions, contract negotiations, office, retail, agricultural, and recreational leases. He also advises clients in matters of estate planning, successions, and elder law. Sherman is also a licensed title agent and manages the firm’s title agency, C&K Title, LLC. 

His litigation practice is broad in scope and includes medical malpractice defense, premises and products liability defense, various real property issues, contract disputes, title insurance defense, and bad faith insurance defense. He is recognized by Martindale-Hubbell and is an AV Peer Review Rated Lawyer and has been listed in Louisiana Super Lawyers, General Litigation and Real Estate. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. 

Sherman has been and continues to be involved in a variety of professional and community activities. He served in the Louisiana State Bar Association's House of Delegates from 1997 - 2002. He has served as a member of the Plimsoll and International Business Committees of the World Trade Center of New Orleans. He served as a board member at large of the Audubon Riverside Neighborhood Association, and he currently serves as president of the board of WRBH Reading Radio, where he also volunteers his time as a reader. He is a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where he serves as a lector and vestry member. In 2000, he was elected Coroner of East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. He is a native of Lake Providence, Louisiana.
