Kevin R. Tully and E. Phelps Gay, THE LOUISIANA SUPREME COURT DEFENDED:  A REBUTTAL OF “The Louisiana Supreme Court in Question:  An Empirical and Statistical Study of the Effects of Campaign Money on the Judicial Function,” 69 La. L. Rev. 281 (2009).

Kevin has been the Managing Partner of Christovich & Kearney LLP since 2008.  A native of Washington, D.C., Kevin graduated from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 1982 upon which he was admitted to the Louisiana Bar and joined Christovich & Kearney.  In 1995, he was admitted to the Texas Bar and has since also represented clients in Texas litigation.  Kevin is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court; the First, Fifth, Seventh, and Eleventh Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals; the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana; the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Texas; the Northern District of Florida; and the Southern District of Indiana.  As his clients’ needs may arise, courts have admitted Kevin pro hac vice in cases pending in other states, including Missouri, Oklahoma, and Virginia.  During his career, Kevin has tried many jury and non-jury cases and appeared for clients before various state boards.

Kevin represents his clients in a wide-range of matters, including contract, product liability, professional liability and ethics, construction, maritime, and aviation.  Kevin has been privileged to represent many well-known national and international companies, including medical device manufacturers; construction companies; paint and coatings companies; cement and concrete companies; aircraft engine and parts manufacturers; and oil, gas, and chemical companies.  Kevin also represents various clients through their insurance companies, including defending other attorneys and law firms in legal malpractice and ethics matters. 

Kevin qualified and testified as an attorney expert in a professional malpractice trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana:Kimberly Lentz versus Northwestern National Insurance Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Kevin has also presented at seminars on products liability, ethics, and on preserving and using electronically-stored information.
