Jimmy Holmes received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Lee University in 1987, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University in 1990. Since 1991, he has actively litigated cases throughout Louisiana. His practice includes automobile liability, premises liability, workers' compensation, professional liability, medical malpractice, products liability, successions, construction, and maritime law. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana.

Mr. Holmes is a former President of the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel (2005-2006).
