CHARLES M. LANIER, JR.
A partner since 1994, Charlie Lanier received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Louisiana State University in 1984, and a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School in 1987. He joined Christovich & Kearney in 1987. Mr. Lanier's practice has included virtually all areas of civil litigation including maritime, construction, health care liability, employment discrimination, products liability, workers' compensation, transportation, insurance and all forms of casualty litigation. He has tried and argued cases at district and appellate courts levels throughout Louisiana, including the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Mr. Lanier is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, The Federalist Society and The Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Lanier is also active in the community. He has served on the board of STAIR (Start the Adventure in Reading) which targets at risk 2nd grade readers, on the board and as President of the board of the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, and as a volunteer coach at his local NORD playground.
