Daniel E. Messier (“Dan”) joined Christovich & Kearney, LLP in 2025 as an associate attorney after graduating from Tulane University School of Law. Dan was a former law clerk at Christovich & Kearney, and he clerked for both plaintiff and defense firms around New Orleans while in law school. Through his clerkships, Dan gained experience both in and out of the courtroom on a variety of legal issues, including in both state and federal courts.
Dan earned his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law, cum laude, along with a Certificate in Sports Law, in the spring of 2025. While attending Tulane, Dan was the Senior Articles Editor of the Sports Lawyers Journal, a national legal journal edited by Tulane law students and published by the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA). As a Junior Member of the Sports Lawyer Journal, Dan had his case note published, W. Flagler Assocs., Ltd. V. Haaland: The D.C. Circuit Parlays the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act into Sports Betting, 31 Sports Law. J. 123 (2024).
He received his B.S. in Sports Management and Finance, with a Minor in Legal Studies in Business, magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University in 2022.
